What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Dodge Charger?

At 51.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Put inspection priority on body condition, panel alignment, tire wear, and signs of hard use, since this model’s performance image can attract aggressive driving. Focus on the overall condition of the specific car in front of you, not just the trim or mileage.

What is the 2019 Dodge Charger's resale value?

The current average of $19,951 sits slightly below last year's $21,052.

That softer pricing can help you buy more efficiently now, but it also means future resale may depend heavily on how well your car is maintained and presented. If you keep mileage reasonable and preserve condition, you should be in a better position when it is time to sell. Strong demand for a distinctive, well-liked sedan can help support value, especially when the car has a clean history and good ownership records.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.62/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Dodge Charger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 26.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 51.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.23% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.62/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $18,558, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $19,951 average.
• It offers retro muscle-sedan character with modern tech and available AWD.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $23,220, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $19,951 average.
• It adds spaciousness, broad powertrain choice, and updated tech.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, owner satisfaction, and market availability, the 2019 is the primary year to target. If your budget is tighter, the 2018 is the better value path, while the 2020 makes sense if you want to spend more for a newer-feeling package.
