Is the 2019 Chevrolet Traverse reliable?

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Chevrolet Traverse?

At 64.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and ownership history. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on the body, suspension, and interior wear, since condition can vary widely from one listing to another. Focus on how the SUV has been maintained and whether the features you care about still work properly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Chevrolet Traverse?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,316 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.59% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $16,874, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $16,874 sits slightly below last year's $19,085.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favorable level, but it also means future resale will depend heavily on how well you maintain the vehicle and how clean its history is. If you keep mileage reasonable and preserve condition, you should be in a better position when it comes time to sell. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.59% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $14,782, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $16,874 average.
• The redesign brought a larger, more useful, and more efficient package.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of owner satisfaction, current pricing, and broad inventory, the 2019 is the better primary target. If your budget is tighter and you want to spend less upfront, the 2018 is the more price-sensitive alternative.
