Should I buy a 2018 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 38.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.18% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $25,293, the 2019 costs more than the current year's $21,680 average.
• It looks tougher and more rugged.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2018 is the primary path to consider. If you are willing to pay more for a newer look and a more rugged design, the 2019 is the secondary path for shoppers who care less about price.
