Used 2018 Toyota C-HR for Sale nearPhiladelphia, PA

How much does the 2018 Toyota C-HR cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 509 listings available, which gives you a moderate amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2018 Toyota C-HR a good car?

Yes — your 4.7/5 user rating and the 5.8/10 expert rating point to a vehicle that appeals most when you value personality over pure practicality. The standout strength is Safety at 8/10.

Owners consistently praise the great handling, unique styling, and comfort, and they also call out the spacious interior and extensive features. In use, that makes the C-HR a better fit if you want a distinctive subcompact crossover that feels more engaging than many rivals, even if it gives up some everyday utility.

The market also shows 32.2% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2018 Toyota C-HR reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many shoppers, with positive remarks about safety features and fuel economy reinforcing that impression. The expert evaluation also describes Toyota’s practical, reliable-car ethos as part of the brand’s identity, even while noting that this model leans more niche than practical.

The C-HR’s long-term ownership risk is less about mechanical reputation and more about whether you can live with its compromises over time, especially if you want more utility or broader feature content.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Toyota C-HR?

At 66.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a close inspection of bodywork, panel alignment, and signs of prior repair. Because this model’s appeal depends heavily on condition and presentation, you’ll want to focus on how well the car has been maintained and whether any past damage affects the way it drives or feels.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The XLE comes with 18-inch sport alloy wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, one USB port, and Bluetooth connectivity. The XLE Premium adds fog lights, push-button start, heated front bucket seats, blind-spot monitor, rear cross-traffic alert, and puddle lights that project the C-HR logo.
• Powertrain: You get a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 144 horsepower and 139 pound-feet of torque, paired with a CVT and front-wheel drive only. The setup is tuned more for everyday use than quick acceleration, but it does deliver responsive turn-in and composed handling.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense P is standard, with collision avoidance with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, auto high beams, and adaptive cruise control. The XLE Premium adds a blind-spot monitor and rear cross-traffic alert.
• Infotainment: Both trims use a standard 7-inch touchscreen. It does not include Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, and navigation is not offered.
• Fuel efficiency: The C-HR is rated at 27 mpg city and 31 mpg highway.

Which 2018 Toyota C-HR trim should I buy?

The 2018 Toyota C-HR is offered in 2 trim levels: XLE and XLE Premium.

Here's the short version:

• XLE: This is the value pick if you want the C-HR’s core style, safety, and driving character without paying extra for convenience features. It already includes the standard safety suite, the 7-inch touchscreen, and the main comfort and connectivity basics.
• XLE Premium: This is the better choice if you want the most complete version of the C-HR. The added fog lights, push-button start, heated front seats, blind-spot monitor, rear cross-traffic alert, and logo puddle lights make it the more appealing trim for most shoppers.

The safety package is strong across the lineup, but the XLE Premium is the trim that adds the extra driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Toyota C-HR?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly when you find a strong listing.

• Deal availability: 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 509 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 66.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $14,119, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Toyota C-HR's resale value?

The current average of $14,845 sits slightly below last year's $14,914.

That small decline suggests the market has been fairly stable, which is helpful if you plan to resell later because it points to predictable pricing rather than sharp swings. For you, that means the C-HR is less likely to surprise you with dramatic depreciation in the near term, especially if you buy at a competitive price.

Its resale outlook is also helped by the fact that shoppers who like the C-HR tend to value its styling and handling, which can keep demand steady in the used market. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2018 Toyota C-HR safe?

The 2018 Toyota C-HR earns a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS and five-star ratings from NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense P is standard, and it includes collision avoidance with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, auto high beams, and adaptive cruise control. The XLE Premium adds a blind-spot monitor and rear cross-traffic alert, giving you more driver-assistance coverage if you choose the higher trim.

One caveat is that the reversing camera is displayed in a small screen in the rear-view mirror rather than on the main touchscreen, which is a less polished setup than you might expect.

Should I buy a 2018 Toyota C-HR or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 66.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Expert or safety highlight specific to this year from the expert summary: it offers a distinctive, style-first take on the subcompact crossover formula, but it gives up AWD and some everyday practicality.

The bottom line: The 2018 is a reasonable choice if you want the C-HR’s unique styling, strong safety, and steady pricing in a used market that still offers decent inventory. If you’re more price-sensitive or want a more practical small crossover, you may want to compare it carefully against alternatives before committing.

How does the 2018 Toyota C-HR compare to the 2018 Honda HR-V?

Our experts score the 2018 Toyota C-HR 5.8/10 and the 2018 Honda HR-V 6.7/10. The HR-V comes out ahead overall because it better fits the practical role most shoppers expect from a small crossover. The C-HR counters with stronger style and a more engaging feel, but it gives up utility and broader appeal.

The C-HR is the more distinctive choice, while the HR-V is the more conventional and practical one. If you care most about handling, safety, and personality, the Toyota has appeal; if you want more everyday usefulness and a lower starting price, the Honda is the safer bet.
