What is the 2018 Tesla Model S's resale value?

The current average of $23,647 sits slightly above last year's $23,503.

That small increase suggests the market has stayed relatively stable, which is helpful if you plan to resell later. You’re not looking at a sharply appreciating vehicle, but you also aren’t facing a steep drop that would signal weak demand. For a future seller, that kind of steady pricing can make it easier to estimate value and time your sale. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Tesla Model S or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 35.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 Model S makes the most sense if you want a used Tesla with strong owner satisfaction, steady pricing, and a decent chance of finding a good deal. If you’re more price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of condition, history, and asking price.
