At 58.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and signs of deferred upkeep, since those factors matter a lot on a luxury sedan like this.

What is the 2018 BMW 7 Series's resale value?

The current average of $22,214 sits slightly below last year's $25,129.

That price movement suggests the model has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price today. If you keep the car in strong condition and maintain it well, you may be better positioned to limit additional value loss. Demand should also stay supported by the model’s strong owner satisfaction and luxury appeal.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.3/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 BMW 7 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 58.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.60% compared with last year.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2018 if you want the strongest mix of current pricing, owner satisfaction, and available inventory.
