Why it stands out
The 2018 Subaru Outback is a standout option in the competitive midsize crossover SUV market for its unique blend of car-like handling and SUV capabilities. With standard all-wheel drive and a high ground clearance, it’s designed to handle various driving conditions, from urban streets to rugged terrains. The Outback's spacious interior, offering up to 73.3 cubic feet of cargo capacity when the rear seats are folded, makes it an ideal choice for families and outdoor enthusiasts alike. Moreover, Subaru's commitment to safety is evident with the EyeSight suite of driver assistance technologies, achieving high safety ratings. Although some buyers might find the available engine options underpowered, especially the base 2.5-liter engine, the 3.6-liter V6 offers a more robust performance. The 2018 model also benefits from improvements in interior quality, functionality, and updated technology features, including a faster Starlink infotainment system. Overall, the Outback combines practicality, durability, and safety, making it an attractive choice for various buyers.

Call me biased, but I don’t see why everyone doesn’t go for this car. Meets all my needs and it’s reliable, relatively affordable, and sleek looking, what more could I want

I came from a 2009 Nissan Murano SL AWD. This outback has so many fancy features! I love the blind spot monitors, the automatic braking, adaptive cruise, lane detection, etc. Only things Im missing from my Murano are my toe hitch, my 6 CD changer, and buttons in the truck to lift the back seats for me.

I bought the Premium model as a replacement for my 2012 Outback. My 2018 has navigation and moon roof. Car is awesome. Drives and shifts more smoothly than the older one. Not that much acceleration getting on the freeway but adequate. I like all the safety features (blind spot detection, back up camera, lane detection, etc.). Ill be keeping this car until self-driving cars are the standard.
