How much does the 2018 Lexus ES cost?

There are 759 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing prices and conditions.

Is the 2018 Lexus ES a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Lexus ES earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its luxurious feel, roomy interior, and smooth ride, and they also highlight the wide array of features and strong value for a luxury sedan. That makes it a good fit if you want a quiet, comfort-focused sedan with everyday ease rather than a sporty personality. With 34.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Lexus ES reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with praise centered on the car’s comfort and overall value. That kind of response suggests the ES can be a reassuring choice if you want a used luxury sedan you can count on over the long term. For used buyers, the main risk is less about the model’s reputation and more about finding a well-kept example with a clean history and consistent maintenance.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Lexus ES?

At 55.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection on any car that looks especially appealing on price. Focus on body condition, signs of prior repair, and whether the interior and electronics match the seller’s description. If a listing has a strong price but questionable history, it is worth slowing down and checking the details carefully.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Lexus ES?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting a deep buyer’s market.

• Deal availability: 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 759 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.65% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 55.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,657, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Lexus ES's resale value?

The current average of $22,345 sits slightly below last year's $22,954.

That softer pricing can help you buy more carefully now, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays steady. If you plan to sell later, condition and history will matter a lot, especially because buyers in this segment tend to reward clean, well-kept examples. A strong service record and accident-free history should help your car stand out when it is time to list it.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Lexus ES or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 55.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.65% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 is a strong choice if you want a comfort-first luxury sedan with solid owner approval and a market that still offers some deal opportunities. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-documented example rather than chasing the lowest sticker price.
