Used 2017 Toyota Tundra for Sale nearMyrtle Beach, SC

How much does the 2017 Toyota Tundra cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 1,471 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2017 Toyota Tundra a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Toyota Tundra earns a 4.73/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its power, reliability, and roomy interior, and many say it feels worth the price for its features and performance. That lines up well if you want a full-size pickup that feels straightforward and work-ready, with a reputation for long-term value. With 33.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Toyota Tundra reliable?

Owners rate it 4.73/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe it as reliable and dependable, and the feedback also emphasizes its trouble-free character and long-term appeal. That kind of owner sentiment matters if you want a truck you can count on over time. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is finding a truck that has been worn harder than its reputation suggests, so condition matters a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Toyota Tundra?

At 56.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean trucks from ones with prior damage. Put inspection priority on body condition, frame and underbody condition, and signs of uneven wear that could point to harder use. Because this is a truck often bought for work and towing, focus on how well the truck has been maintained rather than just how it looks in photos.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Toyota Tundra?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the best listings.

• Deal availability: 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,471 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 56.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $27,203, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Toyota Tundra's resale value?

The current average of $28,576 sits slightly below last year's $28,858.

That small decline suggests the market has stayed relatively stable rather than swinging sharply up or down. For you as a future seller, that kind of pricing pattern can be helpful because it points to predictable demand instead of a volatile resale environment. The Tundra’s reputation for durability and owner satisfaction should continue to support buyer interest when you eventually sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.73/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Toyota Tundra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.73/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $25,189, the 2016 costs less than the current year's $28,576 average.
• It adds practical updates like an upgraded infotainment system and an integrated brake controller.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger overall market position and are comfortable paying more, the 2017 is the better primary target. If your priority is saving money up front, the 2016 is the better secondary path and still delivers the core Tundra strengths.
