Should I buy a 2017 Honda Fit or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 54.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 6.15% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.3/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $15,258, the 2018 costs more than the current year's $13,763 average.
• It adds a more complete, feature-rich feel with broader everyday usefulness.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2017 is the primary path because it combines a lower average price with strong practicality. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer-feeling package, the 2018 is the secondary path for buyers who prioritize added features and a more polished overall impression.
