At 56.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

Start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and service history before you go any further. Should I buy a 2019 Honda Fit or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 3.20% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $15,258, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $16,128 average.
• It offers broad usefulness and strong everyday practicality.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2019 if you want the newer year with strong owner satisfaction and a still-active market. If your priority is saving money, the 2018 is the better secondary path because it delivers similar core Fit strengths at a lower average price.
