Is the 2017 Ford F-350 Super Duty a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Ford F-350 Super Duty earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its power, comfort, and towing capability, and they also like its rugged workhorse character and stylish features. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you need a heavy-duty truck that can handle serious towing and still feel relatively modern for daily use. With 31.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Ford F-350 Super Duty reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback emphasizes that it feels dependable as a rugged workhorse, especially when you need power and towing confidence over the long haul. That said, some buyers wish for more thoughtful interior amenities, so your ownership experience may depend on how well the truck was maintained and equipped. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the truck’s core capability and more about finding one that has been cared for properly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Ford F-350 Super Duty?

At 68.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, especially if you are comparing multiple trucks with similar prices. Put inspection priority on body condition, signs of prior repair, and how well the truck’s work-truck hardware and interior have held up. Because this model is often used hard, you will want to focus on overall condition rather than just mileage or trim level.

What is the 2017 Ford F-350 Super Duty's resale value?

The current average of $38,517 sits slightly below last year's $41,092.

That price movement suggests the truck has softened enough to create a better entry point for you as a buyer, but it also means future sellers may not see the same pricing strength they did a year ago. If you buy well and keep the truck in strong condition, you can help protect your resale position. Trucks with broad appeal and strong owner satisfaction tend to stay easier to move when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Ford F-350 Super Duty or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 68.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.27% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 is the better pick if you want a strong mix of capability, owner satisfaction, and current market value. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-maintained truck rather than the newest one you can afford.
