Why it stands out
The 2017 Ford Edge is designed to be an accessible midsize crossover that manages to balance performance, comfort, and practicality. It sits comfortably in the Ford lineup between the smaller Ford Escape and the larger Explorer, providing ample space for five passengers along with a generous cargo area. Its engine range, which includes a robust 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 in the Sport trim, delivers impressive power for those who prioritize performance. The ride quality is further enhanced by features such as adaptive steering and a refined suspension system, ensuring a smooth and responsive drive without compromising on comfort.
In addition to its driving dynamics, the Edge boasts a user-friendly infotainment system with available upgrades that include Sync 3 for better connectivity, alongside a range of available safety features such as lane-keep assist and blind-spot warning. While some drivers have noted concerns regarding fuel efficiency and material quality in certain areas, the overwhelming impression is one of reliability and versatility, making the 2017 Ford Edge an attractive option for buyers looking for a family-friendly vehicle that doesn't skimp on style or performance.

I never had a problem with my 2017 Edge. At 65000 miles I got a notice from Ford that due to engine problems they needed to replace engine. Brought it in when they got the engine in stock. No charge. Then got a notice about the transmission. Brought it in. No charge. Car now has 95,000 miles. No problems so far except new battery which Aaa replaced for $85. mechanic told me Ford Edge is the best car Ford makes.

This car is a great car for someone who lives in a winter climate. It has great clearance and with snow tires can easily go through a foot of snow with the all-wheel-drive model with no worries! I like that has space for my kids and my stuff. I like that it’s comfortable and it’s not too big. I like that it’s easy on gas!
