Used 2016 Ford Taurus for Sale nearSaint Louis, MO

How much does the 2016 Ford Taurus cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 491 listings available, which gives you a moderate amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2016 Ford Taurus a good car?

Yes — 4.67/5 is a strong user rating for this model year. The 2016 Ford Taurus is a full-size sedan that gives you a lot of space and a broad mix of powertrain choices in a mainstream package, so it can fit well if you want a roomy daily driver with a practical value angle. It also feels more modern than its basic shape might suggest, especially in higher trims that add features such as keyless entry and ignition, leather seating, and a power sunroof. 28.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Ford Taurus reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Taurus is presented as a practical late-model sedan that can still make sense for shoppers who want a spacious, reliable car without paying much for it. Its broad mix of powertrain choices and refreshed cabin features suggest a car that was built to cover everyday needs well, even if the technology was already considered outdated by the time it left the American market. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is ending up with a higher-mileage example that has not been maintained carefully.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Ford Taurus?

At 58.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, put inspection priority on body condition, panel alignment, and signs of inconsistent repairs, then make sure the cabin and electronics work as expected. Because this model year is a value play, condition matters a lot more than chasing the lowest sticker price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Ford Taurus?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 28.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 491 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 58.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $9,940, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Ford Taurus's resale value?

The current average of $10,639 sits slightly above last year's $10,631.

That small increase suggests the market has been stable rather than volatile, which is helpful if you plan to sell later. A steady price pattern can make it easier to estimate what your Taurus may be worth down the road, especially if you buy at a reasonable price and keep the car in strong condition. Because demand is supported by a meaningful share of good deals, buyers still have reasons to consider this model year.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Ford Taurus or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 28.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 58.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a roomy full-size sedan with stable pricing and a decent pool of listings, the 2016 is a sensible primary target. If you're especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a cleaner or better-equipped example offers more value for the money.
