Is the 2016 Ford F-250 Super Duty a good car?

Generally — the 4.4/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction for this truck. Owners consistently praise its power and towing capabilities, and many also like the comfortable seats and upscale touches such as the sound system. Is the 2016 Ford F-250 Super Duty reliable?

Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a truck people feel they can count on, with praise for its dependable power and towing strength. That kind of response matters for a used heavy-duty pickup, where long-term ownership confidence is a big part of the value equation. For used buyers, the main risk is less about the truck’s core capability and more about how hard it was worked before it reached the market.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Ford F-250 Super Duty?

At 67.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean trucks from those with accident records. After that, put inspection priority on signs of heavy use, since a truck like this may have spent time towing, hauling, or working hard. Focus closely on overall condition, maintenance evidence, and how well the truck’s wear matches its mileage and price.

That small increase suggests the truck has held its value fairly well, which is a good sign if you plan to sell later. Stable pricing also points to steady demand rather than a market that is weakening. For a heavy-duty pickup, that kind of consistency can help protect your exit value if you keep the truck in good condition and maintain it well.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Ford F-250 Super Duty or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 27.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 67.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $33,361, the 2017 costs more than the current year's $26,338 average.
• The 2017 brings an all-new design with more modern technology.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2016 is the stronger starting point because it combines steady pricing, solid owner satisfaction, and a broad pool of listings. If you are willing to pay more for newer design and updated tech, the 2017 is the better upgrade path. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2016 is the more practical choice.
