Why it stands out
The 2016 Ford Escape is a key player in the compact crossover market, known for its zippy performance and stylish design. With options for multiple engine types, including a robust 2.0-liter EcoBoost that provides an impressive 240 horsepower, it delivers agile handling and confident performance. Additionally, the comfortable seating and spacious interior (34.3 cubic feet of trunk space) enhance its appeal for families and commuters alike. While some users have reported minor practicality concerns, particularly with the gas flap and driver-side space, the overall sentiment reflects high satisfaction. The introduction of the updated Sync 3 system marks a significant improvement over earlier iterations, ensuring a better tech experience for drivers. However, some ergonomic issues remain, such as the touchscreen's reach. Overall, the Escape balances performance and utility, making it a well-rounded option for buyers seeking a reliable and efficient compact SUV.

I love the zippy way this SUV drives. It also maneuvers well because of its compact size. Plenty of room inside to be comfortable. Fords issues with the CDT kept me from giving it 5 stars. Carfax revealed this part was replaced on the Escape that I purchased. So far no problems.
