How much does the 2015 Toyota Tundra cost?

Prices have softened 2.07% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,106 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of trucks to compare.

Is the 2015 Toyota Tundra a good car?

Generally — with a 4.18/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating, you’re looking at a truck that earns strong marks from both owners and testers. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

Owners consistently praise its power, reliability, and comfortable ride, and many also call out its strength for towing and heavy work. That lines up with the overview’s focus on a full-size truck with a strong presence and a TRD Pro setup that stands out. The main tradeoffs are fuel economy and interior features that may feel dated compared with newer rivals.

30.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2015 Toyota Tundra reliable?

Owners rate it 4.18/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to reliability, dependability, and trouble-free ownership as recurring strengths, and owners also describe it as a truck they can count on over time. The expert notes reinforce that theme by calling out dependable long-term ownership and predicting that the truck will be dependable over time. You also get a free scheduled maintenance program for the first 2 years or 25,000 miles of ownership, which helps early ownership costs.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a thirsty full-size truck can become expensive to live with if maintenance history is weak or usage has been hard.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Toyota Tundra?

At 55.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the truck has been used for towing, hauling, or off-road driving. Pay close attention to body condition, suspension wear, brake feel, and signs of hard use, since those are the areas most likely to reveal how the truck was treated.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The TRD Pro stands out with Toyota Racing Development off-roading hardware, including upgraded shocks, a higher ride height, a front skid plate, dual exhaust, and styling enhancements. It is offered on Double Cab or Crewmax versions, and the available blind-spot monitoring system with rear cross-traffic alert is not available on the TRD Pro.
• Powertrain: The TRD Pro uses a 5.7-liter V8 with 381 hp and 401 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and a part-time 4-wheel-drive system with Active Traction Control. Toyota also offers Tundra buyers a choice between two V8 engines.
• Safety package: Safety Connect services are not available on any Tundra. A reversing camera is standard, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is available in some versions but not the TRD Pro.
• Infotainment: The TRD Pro gets a 7-inch touchscreen, navigation, HD Radio, traffic/weather data services, iTunes song-tagging capability, and a quick-charge USB port. It cannot be upgraded to the JBL premium audio system offered in other versions.
• Fuel efficiency: The truck is rated at 13 mpg city and 17 mpg highway, with a 15-mpg combined rating. The week-long average came in at 14.5 mpg.

Which 2015 Toyota Tundra trim should I buy?

The 2015 Toyota Tundra is offered in 1 trim level: TRD Pro.

Here's the short version:

TRD Pro: This is the standout choice if you want the most distinctive Tundra personality. It adds Toyota Racing Development off-roading hardware, a revised suspension, a higher ride height, a front skid plate, dual exhaust, and unique styling that makes the truck hard to miss. It also gets the strongest visual presence and the most characterful setup in the lineup, so it’s the best-value pick if you want the Tundra’s most memorable version.

Safety Connect services are not available on any Tundra, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is not available on the TRD Pro.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Toyota Tundra?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 30.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,106 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.07% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 55.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,842, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Toyota Tundra's resale value?

The current average of $23,742 sits slightly below last year's $24,243.

That softer pricing suggests the truck has already absorbed some of its recent market adjustment, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price. If you shop carefully now, you may have a better chance of owning into a more stable value curve rather than paying peak pricing. Strong demand for full-size trucks can still support resale, especially for well-kept examples with desirable equipment.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.18/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Toyota Tundra safe?

The 2015 Toyota Tundra earns four-star ratings from NHTSA and Good ratings from IIHS in all assessed categories, though the small overlap frontal impact test has not been assessed.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Safety Connect services are not available on any Tundra, even though the system normally includes automatic collision notification and an SOS emergency button. A reversing camera is standard, which helps with visibility in a tall truck, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is available in some versions but not the TRD Pro. The missing Safety Connect feature is the biggest safety caveat here.

Should I buy a 2015 Toyota Tundra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 30.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 55.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.07% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.18/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• Aside from a thirsty engine and a lack of key safety features, the 2015 Tundra remains a worthy alternative, especially in TRD Pro trim.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $22,523, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $23,742 average.
• The 2014 feels especially well suited to real truck use.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $25,401, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $23,742 average.
• It adds an upgraded Entune system, a larger gas tank, and an integrated brake controller on upper trims.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of character, owner satisfaction, and current market softness, the 2015 is the one to target. If price is your top priority, the 2014 can save you money up front, while the 2016 makes sense if you want the newer-feeling updates and are willing to pay more.
