Used 2015 Kia Forte for Sale nearNew York, NY

How much does the 2015 Kia Forte cost?

Prices have softened 6.98% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 373 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2015 Kia Forte a good car?

Yes — the 2015 Kia Forte earns 5/5 from users and 7.2/10 from experts. The expert score reflects a car that is attractive, affordable, and especially strong in technology, with a 10/10 Technology rating. It also fits shoppers who want value without giving up style, and it can be loaded with a wide range of features if you spend more.

The standout strength is Technology at 10/10.

The market also shows 27.1% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2015 Kia Forte reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Forte’s ownership case is helped by its industry-leading warranty, low expected ownership costs, and strong roadside assistance coverage. The expert review also notes that predicted costs should be low, and that the car’s quality scores are favorable.

Kia’s own materials also point to a car that is built to be practical and easy to live with, especially when you factor in the available convenience and connected features. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that dependability is expected to be average rather than exceptional, so condition and maintenance history matter.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Kia Forte?

At 45.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has had bodywork or shows uneven panel gaps, paint mismatch, or tire wear. Focus on overall condition and how well the car’s equipment works, since the Forte can be optioned very differently from one listing to the next.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base LX is fairly well equipped, but the EX adds a peppier engine, a standard automatic transmission, Flex Steer, aluminum wheels, automatic headlights, fog lights, LED running lights, and power-folding mirrors with LED turn-signal indicators. If you want the best value, the EX is the trim that most clearly adds comfort and convenience without feeling stripped.
• Powertrain: The EX uses a more powerful 173-hp, 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The review also notes that the car can feel soft in some situations, even though it handles better than expected on curvy roads.
• Safety package: UVO eServices and a reversing camera are the main added safety-related tech features, and the review notes the absence of blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert systems. The Forte also has a weak small-overlap frontal result that improved from Poor to Marginal, which is still a concern.
• Infotainment: The UVO eServices system can be paired with a navigation system and reversing camera, and it includes Bluetooth streaming, Pandora access, Parking Minder, 911 Connect, Find My Car, Curfew Limit, Speed Alert, and Geo Fence features.
• Fuel efficiency: The review cites 25 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway, with a real-world average of 28.1 mpg during testing.

Which 2015 Kia Forte trim should I buy?

The 2015 Kia Forte is offered in 2 trim levels: LX and EX.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the value play if you want the lowest entry point and still want a decent equipment list. You get basics like air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, Bluetooth, a USB port, and satellite radio, and the Popular Package can add useful convenience features. It makes sense if you want the cheapest path into the Forte, but it is the trim where the feature gaps are most obvious.
• EX: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds the stronger engine, standard automatic transmission, Flex Steer, aluminum wheels, automatic headlights, fog lights, LED running lights, and more upscale interior touches. If you want the Forte to feel more complete without jumping into heavily optioned territory, this is the one to target.

The safety content also makes clear that the Forte lacks many advanced driver-assistance features, so even higher trims do not fully close that gap.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Kia Forte?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to shop around but still some room to find a good deal.

• Deal availability: 27.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 373 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.98% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 45.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $7,068, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Kia Forte's resale value?

The current average of $7,095 sits slightly below last year's $7,627.

That decline suggests the Forte has already absorbed some of its near-term depreciation, which can be helpful if you buy now and plan to sell later. A softer used-market price can also make the car easier to move if you keep it in good condition and stay current on maintenance.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Kia Forte safe?

The 2015 Kia Forte earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA, but its small-overlap frontal result improved only from Poor to Marginal in IIHS testing.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

The Forte’s safety story is mixed because it includes the basics and some useful tech, but not many advanced driver-assistance features. The standard setup centers on UVO eServices and a reversing camera, while blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert are not part of the package. The weak small-overlap result remains the main caveat for used buyers.

Should I buy a 2015 Kia Forte or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 27.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 45.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Prices have softened 6.98% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2015 stands out for its attractive design and unusually strong technology offering.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $6,300, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $7,095 average.
• It is a more complete and competitive small car with strong style, space, efficiency, and in-car tech.

The bottom line: If you want the newer car with strong tech and a lower current price trend, the 2015 makes sense. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2014 is the better value-oriented alternative.

How does the 2015 Kia Forte compare to the 2015 Hyundai Elantra?

Our experts score the 2015 Kia Forte 7.2/10 and the 2015 Hyundai Elantra 8.5/10. The Forte is the more affordable used buy, and it stands out for its strong technology score and appealing design. The Elantra has the edge overall, with a higher expert score, a slightly higher average used price, and a larger pool of listings to shop from.

The Forte also has a lower good-and-great deal share than the Elantra, while the Elantra has a higher accident-free share. If you want the better value proposition and strong tech, the Forte is compelling; if you want the stronger overall package, the Elantra is the safer bet.
