How much does the 2015 Dodge Charger cost?

There are 821 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2015 Dodge Charger a good car?

Generally — 4.2/5 from owners and 7.8/10 from our experts, the 2015 Dodge Charger lands as a strong pick if you want a full-size sedan with personality. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Cost effectiveness.

Owners repeatedly praise its spacious interior, strong performance, and smooth V6 driving experience. The Charger’s bold look and roomy cabin also come through as recurring strengths, and the overview frames it as a straightforward full-size sedan with broad appeal for buyers who want both presence and practicality.

With 26.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively while still finding worthwhile options.

Is the 2015 Dodge Charger reliable?

Owners rate it 4.2/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with owners describing the car as strong on everyday usability and smooth to live with over time. The expert writeup also emphasizes that the V6 is manageable and sane for daily driving, which supports the idea that the Charger can be a trouble-free choice when maintained well.

The cost-effectiveness notes also mention a low predicted reliability score from J.D. Power, so you should pay close attention to maintenance records and overall condition before buying. For used shoppers, that means the right example can be rewarding, but a neglected one could carry more long-term ownership risk.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Dodge Charger?

At 45.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. A pre-purchase inspection matters here, especially if you’re comparing cars with similar prices but very different condition histories. Focus on signs of wear, incomplete repairs, and whether the car’s equipment matches the trim you’re considering.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SE uses 17-inch wheels, while the SXT gets 18-inch wheels and more features; higher trims move to 20-inch wheels, and the base trim misses some of the visual and equipment upgrades that make the Charger feel more complete.
• Powertrain: The standard 3.6-liter V6 makes 292 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque, uses an 8-speed automatic, and returns 19 mpg city/31 mpg highway with rear-wheel drive or 18/27 with AWD.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes front and side curtain airbags, a driver knee airbag, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, seatbelt pretensioners and height adjusters, and rear child-seat anchors; lane-departure warning, frontal-collision warning, and backup cameras are optional.
• Infotainment: UConnect is standard, with an optional 8.4-inch touchscreen and a 7-inch multifunction driver display; the larger screen is described as aging, while the driver display is crisp and helpful.
• Fuel efficiency: The V6 returns 19 mpg city and 31 mpg highway with rear-wheel drive, or 18 mpg city and 27 mpg highway with AWD.

Which 2015 Dodge Charger trim should I buy?

The 2015 Dodge Charger is offered in 6 trim levels: SE, SXT, R/T, R/T Road & Track, R/T Scat Pack, SRT 392, and Hellcat.

Here's the short version:

• SE: This is the entry point, and it keeps the Charger’s bold look while using 17-inch wheels and the standard V6. It makes sense if you want the Charger shape and space at the lowest cost, but it’s the least equipped version.
• SXT: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds more features than the SE while staying with the V6 and available AWD. If you want the most balanced mix of comfort, usability, and price, this is the one to target.
• R/T: This is where the Charger starts leaning harder into muscle-car character with the 5.7-liter V8. Choose it if you want stronger straight-line performance and don’t mind giving up some efficiency.
• R/T Road & Track: This trim builds on the R/T formula with the same V8 power and a more performance-focused setup. It suits you if you want a more serious muscle-sedan feel without jumping to the top-tier models.
• R/T Scat Pack: This is the big-value performance choice, using the 6.4-liter V8 shared with the SRT 392. It’s the trim to buy if you want the strongest performance per dollar.
• SRT 392: This version adds bigger brakes, suspension tuning, and SRT-only interior packages. It’s the right pick if you want a more polished high-performance setup rather than just raw power.
• Hellcat: This is the extreme choice, with the supercharged 6.2-liter V8 and the most dramatic capability in the lineup. Buy it only if you specifically want the top-end performance experience.

Optional safety features are spread across the Technology, Driver Convenience, and Navigation packages, so check whether a used example has the safety equipment you want.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Dodge Charger?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile deals.

• Deal availability: 26.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 821 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.28% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 45.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $12,394, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Dodge Charger's resale value?

The current average of $12,394 sits slightly below last year's $12,948.

That softer pricing suggests the Charger is in a buyer-friendly phase, which can help you if you’re shopping now but may limit upside if you plan to sell soon. Still, the current market shows enough demand and inventory movement to support a reasonable resale path for well-kept examples.

Condition will matter a lot when you eventually sell. A clean history, strong maintenance records, and desirable equipment should help your car stand out in a market where shoppers are already comparing many similar listings.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.2/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Dodge Charger safe?

The Charger earns Good ratings from the IIHS in all crash tests.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes front and side curtain airbags, a driver knee airbag, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, seatbelt pretensioners and height adjusters, and rear child-seat anchors. Optional features include lane-departure warning, frontal-collision warning, and backup cameras, but many of those active-safety items are bundled into separate packages that can add significantly to the price.

One caveat is that the available active-safety tech is not spread evenly across the lineup, so you should verify exactly which package a used car has before you buy.

Should I buy a 2015 Dodge Charger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 26.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 45.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.28% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.2/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The 2015 refresh brings sleeker front and rear styling plus a more aggressive overall look.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $10,555, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $12,394 average.
• It emphasizes a bold, retro-inspired presence with a more sophisticated character.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $15,976, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $12,394 average.
• It adds a more satisfying family-sedan feel with stronger overall appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of price, style, and performance, the 2015 is the sweet spot. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2014 is the value play; if you want a slightly more refined follow-up, the 2016 is worth a look.

How does the 2015 Dodge Charger compare to the 2015 Chevrolet Impala?

Our experts score the 2015 Dodge Charger 7.8/10 and the 2015 Chevrolet Impala 7/10. The Charger is the stronger choice if you want more personality and performance, while the Impala leans more toward efficiency and lower used pricing. The Charger also has the larger engine and more listings to shop, but the Impala’s lower average used price and slightly better city fuel economy may appeal if value matters most.
