How much does the 2014 Honda Accord cost?

Prices have softened 3.47% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,059 listings available, which suggests you should have a solid range of choices.

Is the 2014 Honda Accord a good car?

Yes — the 2014 Honda Accord earns a 4.9/5 user rating and a 9.2/10 expert rating. The model scores 10/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

Owners consistently praise its reliability, fuel efficiency, and performance, along with the smooth ride and comfortable interior. The overview also points to strong value for the money, which fits the Accord’s upscale cabin and well-rounded execution. For you, that means this is a strong fit if you want a midsize sedan that feels more premium than its price suggests. 29.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there are still some attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2014 Honda Accord reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback repeatedly highlights reliability, and the expert review also points to long-term dependability and reliability as strengths. The performance notes describe the car as quiet and refined, while the cost-effectiveness section says major third-party sources expect better-than-average long-term dependability and reliability. That combination makes the Accord a sensible used buy if you want a sedan you can count on, though you should still watch for transmission behavior and verify maintenance history carefully.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Honda Accord?

At 47.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. A pre-purchase inspection is especially important on this model because condition can vary a lot between well-kept examples and cars that have seen harder use. Focus on the transmission, interior electronics, and overall maintenance records so you can separate the best cars from the rest.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LX is the most basic version, while the Sport adds 18-inch wheels, fog lights, a rear lip spoiler, a chrome exhaust finisher, and a 10-way power driver’s seat. The EX adds 17-inch aluminum wheels, a better sound system, LaneWatch blind-spot monitoring, SmartEntry with push-button start, and a power sunroof. The EX-L brings leather seats, heated front seats, memory settings, a premium sound system with touchscreen display, satellite radio, HondaLink, and more safety tech, while Touring adds Adaptive Cruise Control and LED headlights.
• Powertrain: Most models use a 185-horsepower, 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine with either a CVT or a 6-speed manual in LX, Sport, and EX trims. The Sport version raises output to 189 hp with the CVT. A 278-hp, 3.5-liter V6 is optional on EX-L and standard on Touring, and the hybrid and plug-in hybrid use different gas-electric setups with much higher efficiency.
• Safety package: SmartVent side impact airbags and a reversing camera are standard, while LaneWatch appears on the EX. Forward Collision Warning and Lane Departure Warning are included on EX-L and Touring trims. The Accord also uses Advanced Compatibility Engineering II body structure, and the EX-L and Touring trims gain more advanced driver-assistance features.
• Infotainment: The LX and Sport cover basic Bluetooth, music streaming, and text-message functions, but more advanced tech is concentrated in higher trims. The EX-L adds a touchscreen-based premium sound system, satellite radio, and HondaLink, while navigation is available as an option on EX-L.
• Fuel efficiency: The 4-cylinder models return as much as 24 mpg city and 36 mpg highway, depending on transmission choice. The V6 is rated at 21/34 mpg, the hybrid is rated at 50 mpg city and 45 mpg highway, and the plug-in hybrid is rated at 115 MPGe in EV mode.

Which 2014 Honda Accord trim should I buy?

The 2014 Honda Accord is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, Sport, EX, EX-L, Touring.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the value play if you want the Accord’s core strengths without paying for extras. It gives you the essentials and keeps the car’s reputation for comfort, efficiency, and value intact.
• Sport: This is the best-value trim if you want a more aggressive look and a few meaningful upgrades, including bigger wheels, fog lights, and a power driver’s seat. It adds style and equipment without pushing you into the pricier luxury-oriented trims.
• EX: This is the smart middle ground if you want more convenience and safety tech, including SmartEntry, push-button start, LaneWatch, and a sunroof. It’s the trim that most clearly balances features and price.
• EX-L: This is the right choice if you want a more upscale cabin, leather, heated seats, memory settings, and the better audio and connectivity features. It also adds more advanced safety equipment, making it the most compelling step up for many shoppers.
• Touring: This is the top-end choice if you want the most equipment, including Adaptive Cruise Control and LED headlights. It makes sense if you want the most fully loaded Accord and are willing to pay for it.

The EX-L and Touring trims are the ones that gain the most advanced safety and convenience features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Honda Accord?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 29.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,059 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.47% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 47.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,409, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Honda Accord's resale value?

The current average of $11,614 sits slightly below last year's $12,032.

That softer pricing suggests the Accord has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price. Because the model has strong owner satisfaction and a reputation for value, demand should remain healthy for clean, well-maintained examples. If you keep mileage reasonable and maintenance records organized, you should be in a better position when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2014 Honda Accord safe?

The 2014 Honda Accord earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS and a five-star overall rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

SmartVent side impact airbags and a reversing camera are standard, and the car’s Advanced Compatibility Engineering II body structure helps support its crash performance. LaneWatch is included on the EX, while Forward Collision Warning and Lane Departure Warning are included on EX-L and Touring trims. If you’re shopping lower trims, keep in mind that some of the more advanced driver-assistance features are reserved for pricier versions.

Should I buy a 2014 Honda Accord or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 29.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 47.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.47% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2014 Accord combines upscale cabin execution with strong value and a Top Safety Pick+ rating.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $13,246, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $11,614 average.
• It emphasizes dependable service and broad appeal even more strongly.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2014 is the stronger buy because it pairs a lower average price with strong owner satisfaction and solid safety. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer model year, the 2015 is the cleaner upgrade path for buyers who prioritize long-term dependability and can stretch their budget.

How does the 2014 Honda Accord compare to the 2014 Toyota Camry?

Our experts score the 2014 Honda Accord 9.2/10 and the 2014 Toyota Camry 7.5/10.

The Accord comes across as the more polished and better-rounded sedan, with stronger expert scores, better fuel economy, and a more upscale cabin feel. The Camry is still a solid midsize sedan, but the Accord’s stronger performance, higher owner satisfaction, and better deal availability make it the more compelling used buy for most shoppers. If you want the better value and the more engaging all-around package, the Accord has the edge.
