At 66.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, especially if the truck is priced near the top of the market. What is the 2014 Ford F-150's resale value?

The current average of $14,971 sits slightly below last year's $15,848.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favorable level, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, condition and trim will matter a lot, especially because this truck’s pricing can vary widely. Well-kept examples should hold up better than trucks with accident history or heavy wear.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Ford F-150 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 28.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 66.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.53% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $17,563, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $14,971 average.
• It adds aluminum body construction and turbocharged power.

The bottom line: The 2014 is the better primary pick if you want a lower entry price and strong owner satisfaction. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer-feeling design and a more modern engineering approach, the 2015 is the stronger secondary path.
