Should I buy a 2014 Dodge Challenger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 52.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $21,019, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $16,392 average.
• It is easier to live with every day while keeping the Challenger's retro muscle-car character.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2014 is the stronger starting point because it offers a lower average price and steady market support. If you are willing to pay more for a newer model with broader everyday appeal, the 2015 is the better secondary path.
