Used 1983 Chevrolet El Camino for Sale near Illinois

I wouldn't recommend the El Camino in its stock state, but drop a 350 in it, lose the 2-tone paint and get some wheels and tires and you drastically and easily change the whole thing. This car did the best burnouts of any vehicle I've had.

it runs great and goes fast,sounds awesome, there has been a lot of work done to this car and it took a few years and lots of money, but its a great toy and a joy to drive, people stop and look as you drive pass them, it turns a lot of heads

This was my first car. I really enjoyed driving it and wish I had one similar to it now. Preferably a 1986 SS edition

its straight for a lowrider or just for a pickup. not much special, decent if it wasnt a v8

My El Camino is in great shape for being 27 years old. It only has 89,000 miles on it and there are no rattles, squeaks, or clunks. It runs like a champ and is very low maintenence. It has a 305 V8 with a 4 barrel carb and a Turbo 350 3 speed auto transmission. It does 0-60 in about 7.5 seconds, which isn't bad for an ''80s smog car, but due to the tall 2.73:1 rear gears, could be better. It gets between 14 to 16 mpg in the city and about 20-23 mpg on the highway. It rides better than a Cadillac!
