Honda dealerships near me (Decatur, TX)

Recondition fee for a certified pre-owned vehicle. Never heard of it anywhere and it was pricey. Hence walked away.

They did a good job but I did not buy no car I had something come up and couldn't afford it

This was one of the worse experiences I have had. They begged me to come in I said please run the numbers first. They kept saying oh my manager says he can for sure get you in this car with $500 down. They finally call me back and say I need a down payment of 4,000 . I’m so glad I didn’t waste my time nor gas driving over there and was insistent that they be transparent over the phone or I would’ve wasted gas money if I could put $4000 down on a vehicle, especially a little $13,000 vehicle I would just go buy one out right and not be asking for financing. I had a similar experience with other Shottenkirk’s I thought maybe different lots a better experience different employees know all Shottenkirks have a very bad reputation and I understand why now.

I was forced to finance through their bank because they refused to use the auto check issued to me by my credit union. Richard and Jefferson were great. Sales manager not so much. Sales manager told his finance guy to not offer me anything extra because I was going to probably refinance somewhere else. Just wasn't the professional mentality when I was spending over $20000. Maybe he was having a bad day.

I emailed Vandergriff in regards to a vehicle. I was shopping several dealerships and specifically stated in my email I was looking for out the door pricing with no additional dealer add ons. I received a price quote from the dealership. It was a really good quote. I confirmed with salesperson there were no dealer add ons on the vehicle. After the test drive, I was informed that there were $3200 in add ons that could not be removed. Welcome to the typical dealership games. The dealership would not budge on the add ons. I advised my salesperson that I would not be doing a deal with them and left. I ultimately purchased a vehicle from another Honda Dealership which was true to their words about no add ons. Don't waste your time shopping this dealership. It is the typical dealership antics that make car buying an absolute beating. There are several other great dealerships within a 40 mile radius that don't play these games.
