Our Most Popular Video Shorts of 2024

by Natalie Harrington

The CarGurus YouTube channel is home to a full library of in-depth car reviews, where our expert reviewers provide insights into daily life with any new vehicle you might be considering. This year, we also published more than 60 short-form videos, offering a quicker and often more light-hearted look at many of the newest cars on the market. These are 10 that were most viewed this year.

1. 2024 Genesis G70

The G70 is still in its first generation, and its first facelift is already a few years behind us, so we’re guessing it wasn’t novelty that drew more than 330,000 viewers to Senior Video Producer Elliot Haney’s short. Perhaps the people really wanted to know exactly what he covers here: Why might they want the 3.3-liter V6 of the performance trims? Elliot demonstrates exactly how it can be useful in real life.

2. 2024 Lexus LS 500

Deputy Editor Matt Smith walks us through the LS 500 F Sport in this mini review. He covers the F Sport powertrain’s specs and performance and also touches on tech and comfort, while also comparing the Lexus to some of its chief rivals. Watch for a quick and dirty review of the top-trim LS 500!

3. 2024 Chevy Colorado

This ZR2 Bison is one of the louder Colorados we’ve seen, and we’re not talking about the volume of its Turbo Max power plant. Elliot points out the many eye-catching features as well as the extra ZR2 Bison off-road-ready equipment, and clues us into one downside of the truck’s special gear. Spoiler alert: It’s not the color!

4. 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport Interior

Matt gave our channel its first look at the all-new, fourth-generation Tacoma way back in May of 2023, long before we actually got to drive it. He brought us both an exterior walkaround and an interior walk-through, but it was the interior that continued to draw attention through 2024. Could it be that six-speed manual? Check out Matt’s short to see what Toyota’s done with the new TRD Sport cabin.

5. 2024 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid

Elliot takes viewers along on a rush-hour commute in this short, featuring the refreshed 2024 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid. Watch for a look at the long-running family car’s new styling and to hear why it’s turning around Elliot’s opinion on the sedan body style, plus, what he likes about the hybrid powertrain specifically.

6. 2025 Toyota 4Runner

This was the year that finally saw a new 4Runner! Here, Lead Staff Writer Natalie Harrington takes us through the all-new Trailhunter trim, which is essentially a factory-built overlanding rig. See the Old Man Emu, ARB, and RIGID gear that comes standard on this extra-capable 4Runner model, as well as a few newly improved features off-road adventurers are sure to appreciate.

7. 2025 Subaru Forester

The Subaru Forester was also all-new this year, kicking off its sixth generation, so we’re not surprised to find that so many viewers wanted to see what it’s got going on. We published this short before the embargo had even lifted on drive impressions. Here, Natalie focuses on what’s new for 2025. Check it out for a summary of the updates, and watch the full review for a more in-depth look, including how it drives!

8. 2024 Chevrolet Suburban

Here’s one that’s not at all newsy, yet still made the most-viewed list. With a 90-year history, the Chevrolet Suburban nameplate is the oldest in automotive, and at almost 19 feet long, this body-on-frame SUV is among the largest, too. Watch Elliot’s walkthrough to see how comfortable this High Country interior can be and how he made the most of–but still didn’t completely fill!–that massive cargo space.

9. 2025 Toyota Camry XLE

The Camry went hybrid-only for its ninth generation, which was introduced to much fanfare in the fall of 2023. As with the Tacoma, we filmed this short when the new sedan was revealed, well before anyone was allowed to drive it, and we think the fact that viewers continue to click through is a testament to the Camry’s popularity. Check out this quick walkaround for a look at the most premium trim and a few Camry firsts!

10. 2025 Mercedes-Benz G-Class

The iconic Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen turns heads on the road–no wonder it attracted attention here on our channel, too. Contributor Mark Takahashi previews the refreshed second-generation G-Class in terms of both style and substance, covering the new design elements as well as the impressive capabilities of the G 550 and the AMG G 63 models.
