Have a Ford F350 motor home and we were going up hill and the transmission started smoking. We pulled over, Transmission fluid was full and hacve all gears. Does it have a blow off valve if it gets to hot? It was 6% grade and 97 outside temp.

Do you have a transmission oil cooler on that beast? get one- going up mountains in hot weather, that poor little engine is like the "little engine that could" "I think I can"- it is a good thing that you pulled over and let the oil cool down in your tranny-

Does it have a blow off valve or something? The transmission is working great still. The levels are good. Should we have it looked at before we take it out again?
