No power to my pickup

Asked by mf74403 Apr 23, 2019 at 01:40 PM about the 1977 Chevrolet C/K 10 K10 Silverado 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1977 Chevrolet C10 Silverado Pickup. Had
to jump the old battery and drove it home.
Purchased a a brand new battery and out it in my
pickup, now I have absolutely to power to my truck
at all (no lights, no radio, no head or brake lights).
Cross wire the starter and it fired over. Does
anyone have any idea what could be wrong or does
anyone have any advice that they do not mind
sharing? Thank you

Battery has a full charge and battery connections and cables all good, on all ends, not just at the battery. One of the positive battery connections may go to battery junction block, you may find a bunch of fusible links, check for voltage going to those links, use a test lite. Check for voltage at fuses, some fuses hot all the time, some go hot with key on. Just my opinion.
