Did you crack open that mysterious book in the glove box Bob?

No I haven't read the owner's manual yet because I haven't purchased a Santa Fe yet but I've been told Hyundai eliminated the spare tire to save weight and to improve fuel mileage.

Clearly this is the first thing you should ask the salesman when you go look at these cars. You can carry a compressor and patch kit in lieu of a spare or you could probably use an aftermarket tailgate spare tire carrier.
