Car won't start after changing the thermostat

I have a 98 Ford Contour it's been
overheating so I changed the
thermostat and now it'll only crank over
but it won't fire up and run

check for spark , fuel , if you can get a little gas down the throttle see if it'll fire , unless you left some wires disconnected it could be pure coincidence

Maybe you cooked your engine. The thermostat is not related to the engine starting or not.

The engine was running i shut it off let it cool down then changed the thermostat now it won't start
