Jeep won't start

Asked by Eve Apr 20, 2016 at 02:12 PM about the 2006 Jeep Liberty Sport 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

when I turn the key, it just makes a rapid clicking sound. The engine does not
turn over at all. The lights and radio work, so I don't think its the battery.

A dying (but not completely dead) battery will do just this - it has enough juice to engage the starter solenoid or radio and some lights but not enough to turn the engine over. Get a jump start. If you can pull the battery take it to a parts store and let them check it, however if it's low/dead they'll have to keep it for a few hours to charge it before they can test it.
