We’re there any engine symptoms before the warranty ran out that you had them check out? If not then you have no history to fall back on. But if you do then tell them so. Dealerships are crazy high on the prices for parts and labor. An independent shop would give a way better price. Call around see what you come up with.

Well, the truck is a month out of warranty. Take it up to Ford Corporate. They'll probably help out with this.

Did they tell you the vehicle was out of warranty before you agreed to the repairs? If not, you have a case. But try to prove it! Dealers have been hurting since the beginning of the pandemic so you have to be very careful not to get sucked into excessive or unnecessary repairs right now! If Ford won't help you, you can always take the Dealer to court but unfortunately you will probably lose unless you have something in writing stating that the repair was supposed to be under warranty. Good luck to you! Jim
