I have a 1987 Chevy mark lll with all original engine and drivetrain. I had it idling for a few minutes It cut off instantly making no noise. Now it won't start. Getting gas and spark. Any thoughts?

Something grounded out or interrupted your ignition system. Look around for a chaffed wire or possibly a loose connector coming from your coil, distributor, ignition module area first. If nothing is found, I would suspect your ignition module.
