Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ive got a 1985 Chevy Silverado C10 5.0 v8 with a 350 engine and a 700r4 tranny. I was driving it the other day and it was shifting a little weird but it didn't concern me too much but when I got onto the highway the truck shifted a little hard into 2nd gear but it didn't switch into 3rd gear until I got up to 70 mph which if I'm right is a little high for 2nd gear then it started reving a little bit like it wasn't going to dhift into 3rd and after a couple seconds it finally went into 3rd. I have a parts truck with a new turbo 350 tranny I could put into it but I was hoping to keep the 700r4, is it the tranny or something different any ideas?

Take it in and get it diagnoses. It may be low on pressure caused by a dirty filter, or front pump is going, hard to say. You don't mention miles on it, maybe it's due for servicing.
