2016 acura ilx on sale for over 200 days, should i be concerened?

Asked by PayneHoss Sep 29, 2022 at 03:05 PM about the 2016 Acura ILX FWD

Question type: Car Selling & Trading In

I found this 2016 base ilx in youngstown ohio by a dealer called Yalcars for
15k with 130k miles with that price including the delivery to me here in
smyrna TN. All the pictures look great and i did pay for a full report from
autocheck and it says it's a clean title, no accidents, no issues or anyhting.
Im definitely very intrested and would love to have it, but im not sure how to
know i can trust the report or the dealer, as i wouldnt be able to actually see
the car in person first or drive it. It's also been on the market for over 200
days which idk if that should be concerning or not. There's definitely some
bad reviews for this dealer, but the vast majority of them are very positive.

Basically, if someone who has any experience in this could tell me if this
shouldnt be trusted or if there's other things io can do to ensure this car is
exactly what it looks like and it would be a good purchase, that would be
great.

The car was likely sold six months ago and the dealer left the listing up to make his phones ring. why don't you just contact him and ask? But if true, and the car is still for sale, I'd expect that the car's junk or he's using it for market fishing..... Also, never trust Used Car Dealers, they're all scum.

If the dealer has some bad reviews then just back away unless you want to become another statistic.

Give them a telephone call and see if the vehicle is available and if you can have it inspected. If they say yes to both questions look at lemonsquad.com for the inspection. I've used them for a couple of long distance purchases with excellent results. Also the vincheck report should show when the vehicle was last sold. In today's market a vehicle that's been on the lot for that long is suspicious. Proceed with caution!! Hope that helps! Jim
