Horn

Asked by GuruL2S4T Apr 24, 2019 at 04:59 PM about the 2016 Ford Fusion SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just recently purchased a used 2016 Ford Fusion and I can't get an inspection sticker because the horn doesn't work.  Any ideas what to check or how to fix it?

Note the horn diagram. You can see the fuse under the horn relay in diagram, you can check that. Can you unplug the horn relay? If so, unplug it, use a jumper wire between the terminals on switch side of relay, left side of relay in diagram. If the horn sounds with jumper wire the problem is on control side of relay, right side in diagram. I saw about three trouble codes for your horn, shorted to voltage--shorted to ground--open circuit. When I started looking up diagram for horn there was no answer, thought I might as well post it, anyway. Have a good day.
