Asked by Mar 01, 2014 at 02:41 PM about the 2002 Ford Windstar SEL

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Tranny was replaced and van came back this way. Repair shop said it was not anything
they did. Is there a vacuum line that could be off. Any ideas would help!
No matter what position the dial is in the heat still only blows through defrost.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2MG58ZJTrc -- check this out. This might be where the repairmen knocked your vacuum line loose.

Yup, they forgot to hook up the vacuum line for the climate control system. When the system loses vacuum it defaults to defrost for safety reasons. HTH. -Jim
