what transmission will replace a 2006 4.6 interceptor tranny

Those trannies are heavy duty for the interceptors, if you just put in the regular tranny it most likely won't last long. Try B&M Transmissions for a good heavy duty tranny. Or have yours rebuilt, if the case is good you might save yourself a few bucks.

Ford 4R75W is what it has. Replacement needs to be the same as it is controlled by the ECM.

Pick and Pull site online lists transmission for cheap. Gears and dimensions have to be the same. The part number is usually located on the transmission or available with Vin number online. Some vehicles list specs in the owner's manual. Buying a cheap one replace and rebuild or WHY cheaper than new.
