Spider gear/differential pin

I need to buy a differential pin for for the rear end
of my 2000 crown Vic police. Incept. I am not sure
if it's a 28 or 31 spine? In assuiming it's 28 for a
standard 8.8. Can anyone tell me for sure?

Pull an axle and count the splines or look for the axle ID code.
