I have a 1989 f150 il6 300 cc love this truck I put new ignition switch on and and a actuator to it will start but as soon as you let off the key it will go to off mod .

Sounds like the switch adjustment is wrong, try moving the switch a little further down the column, that is why the mounting holes are slotted.

Did you ever get this fixed? My ‘91 F-150 is doing the same thing. Tennis shoe, how do you move the switch down the steering column? Thank you!

Joe, drop the column down, then you can adjust the switch.
