I have a 89 f150, the 5.0, i just did a tune up on it and noticed that once it warmed up it was very hard to re-start again, so i re-did all my spark plugs to .55 like the auto part store said

Replace the fuel filter and test the fuel pump pressure.

I would also try adjusting the distributor and set the timing.
