How much would it cost to switch a manual transmission to an automatic?

Wow - lot of work there especially if you have to pay someone to do all the work. Much less expensive to find a used truck with an auto transmission. Unless your dad purchased the truck in 86, drove it for five months, then placed it in garage for 25 years, forget it.
