2013 chevy captiva brain teaser

i have a 2013 chevy captiva it died on my wife on her way home from work,
now i put it on a obg scanner and it said the crankshaft sensors, i replaced
the camshaft sensor and the crankshaft sensors, and still nothing only thing i
hear when i turn the key is a real loud noise that was coming from the starter
and i changed it still nothing, we have spark and compression everything is
turning, but the engines makes no noise you only hear the starter whining,
there's no put puter or any kind of movement from the engine

Remember DTC codes don't tell you whats wrong their only a direction arrow where to begin checking... I suggest you check the fuel pressure at the fuel rail in PSI or at your RISK attempt to start with starting fluid, IF it starts momentarily with the fliud you know the fuel system (pump or circuit) is suspect.

Have you found a reason for this my aunts car is doing the same thing and for the life of me i can not figure it out

I replaced the two VVT solenoids on the top of the engine to fix this problem. About $50 apiece. Easy swap.

sounds like the fuel pump may have went out as well. Have someone set in the seat and turn key while you listen at the fuel nozzle. Undo the fuel cap, and listen for a hummm noise. Your ear must be down by nozzle and DO NOT SMOKE<
