How do I remove second row captain chair 2000 e150 high top conversion van?

Asked by Frank Mar 07, 2016 at 09:10 AM about the 2000 Ford E-Series E-150 Chateau Club Wagon

Question type: General

I have been looking online for ANYTHING related to removal of captains chair
on my 2000 E150.  So far I have found nothing in detail that will show me step
by step (video) on how to do so, including release of the seat belt.  Can
anyone assist please?

Frank, here is a couple of sites I've been using to research things we can do to our Van: vanning.com / sportsmobileforum.com But typically, If one is able to remove the carpeting as to expose the seats hardware, one would need a few simple tools to disable the seat as well as the seat belts. You may be looking at a good long weekend project to deconstruct the van's interior panels or molding to access these areas. This would be very interesting to document so that others could see the process involved in your project.

Hi Frank, I just bought the same van and have the exact same question. Did you ever have any luck figuring this out?

I have a 93..came with original book..book shows completely diff config of seats tho..i wish my seats were as easy as the book shows..i do have some sort of pull lever at the back end of the seat but i think i have to undo the bolts first then pull the release..idk but i cant find any how to videos on this either..i hate that i may have to take this to a dealer or a mechanic n pay them just to show ME how to do it..and then i may not be able to anyway bc of disabilities i have lost lots of upper body strength..but im so crowded in here with these seats n my son who is no help n our dog...plus all our stuff..u kno..its just too damn much..if i had a damn saw id saw them out..lol. well ill check back in case an answer should happen to pop up for any of us..thx much n gl

How do I remove the inside interior panels for a 1992 Ford e150 club wagon I need to replace the seat belt on the driver side the retractor in the seat belt isn't working causing the seatbelt to stay out my phone number is 626/447/1203 my email address is florendo @57 at yahoo.com can you help me can you send me a video

Amazing. This should be a simple process and easy if you know how to do it. But I am having a hard time finding a good set of instructions on how to start. Seems like there should be a release mechanism and a slide or twist action to release the chair from the van.
