How do you fix the odometer/speedometer guage in an 87 Volvo 760 Turbo? Is this
something I can do myself or this for a mechanic?

You'd need to replace the entire gauge cluster for that, which is something you can do yourself. If you want to replace just the speedometer you will need good soldering skills and a bit of free time.
