07 F150 passenger window

Asked by Sheets0811 Jul 05, 2019 at 11:24 AM about the 2007 Ford F-150 Lariat SuperCrew 5.5ft Bed 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The front passenger window in my 07 F150
(crew cab, lariat) will go down but not up
from either station (D or P). I tested for
12VDC to the switch, good. And tested
12VDC to the plug, good. Tried new motor
and regulator assembly, no dice. When
assembly is plugged in I can feel the motor
kick when the switch is pressed down, but
nothing on the up.  Tried new master control
on the driver side and new switch on
passenger. Thoughts?

The window motor is DC. It moves up and down by simply reversing the polarity to the motor. On the passenger side controls, remove the electrical connection from the switch, Apply 12 volts to the connector leading to the motor. If the window goes down, reverse the connection point, and it should go up. If it doesn't, the problem could be within the wire leading to the motor. You can also remove the motor from the window and try the same procedure to see if the motor reverses using a 12 volt source, like the auto battery.
