your breaking the code of ford vs chevy and will anger the GODS they will make it impossible to complete your task!it can be done but alot of time and money, you would need to replace trans,,,I don't think it will bolt up to the block!

I know it a Chevy motor. Don't feel like paying a lot for a ford motor when Chevys are cheaper and stronger

So I'm thinking about doing the same swapping a 350 into a 96 mustang but it comes with the automatic transmission so would that be ok and easy to put in without any headaches

Tookey - a Chevy into a Ford? WHY? Do you not have enough grief in your life? Won the lottery and want to burn up a bunch of money just for the hell of it?

They make a adapter kit from 3.8 to Chevy 5.7 or 350 to bolt right up through summit but you'll have to run a th350 which is a good transmission the adapter kit is 134.99 and I'll be buying it to take the 3.8 out of my 2000 Ford mustang and I got a built 388 from my firebird that I'm going to swap so when it's done I'll be posting pictures of the install oh and it's kinda fun doing what is said should not be done

Can you put a 350 Lt1 engine in a 1967 ford mustang

There's no such thing as a 350 big block, but that'd be a silly swap. It'd make more sense to put an LS based engine in it but get your wallet out bc it's gonna cost you, then you have a time bomb rear end, so be shopping for the 8.8 axle from a V8 mustang..

If you want more power either go with a supercharger or upgrade to a 5.4 Triton. A 350 swap would be nearly impossible to make street legal (smog).

Any men on here who are mechanics and aren't afraid of swapping different brands like the children I have seen (Fords only!!!, Chevy only!!! Mopar only!!!). I want to put a 454/T400 into a 2005 Mustang that had a trashed 4.0 v6. Anybody know of engine mounts available?
