Help!!

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car will not start and anti theft lock symbol is
blinking. Ford advisor told me to press some button
and turn the key at the same time but I can't find
that button!

Try this: from inside manually lock all the doors except the drivers, exit the vehicle and close the drivers door, using the key lock the door and watch the dome light, when it goes out wait at least 1 minute, then using the key manually unlock the drivers door, that should deactivate the system. There should be more information on this system in the owners manual, if you don't have one I suggest you get one, there is a lot of information in there about maintenance and resetting things like radios, clocks and security systems.

Bummer, there is a problem with these vehicles loosing a connection on the shock tower that feeds the main processor. If your mechanically inclined it is on you tube, just search your vehicle with flashing security light and it will come right up.

Key needs to be reprogrammed, usually you willl need a new key
