Why won’t my ignition turn?

My car ignition would turn over just fine but then my
batterry was completely dead (still turned). so I
removed the battery to have it be charged. Once
charged put back in car hooked it up went to start it
but ignition willnt turn. Steering wheel isn’t locked
and car is in park.

So now you need to have it towed to the dealer to unlock the security system, or hopefully you have a smart locksmith in your area that can come to you and do the same thing but cheaper, plus you save a towing charge. You need a memory saver tool that plugs into the OBD 2 port. This tool keeps the computer system active while main power is disconnected so you don’t wind up with problems like this or accessories that no longer operate correctly.
