09 f150 hazard lights come up while driving and flash w/ high beams too

Asked by Feb 25, 2014 at 05:27 PM about the 2009 Ford F-150 XLT SuperCrew LB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

While driving home from work, my truck hazard lights came on by themselves, and started to flicker on and off while the high beams did the same. When i push the harzards button they stop. When i park and leave my truck my hazard lights come on by themselves, all of the fuses are good. Also my factory anti theft system light stays bright red when i lock my truck with the keyless remote. What is going on with my truck??

When the anti-theft system is activated the lights may flash. I would suspect a problem in that area. When you cycle the lock-unlock on the key fob, does the red light begin to blink, if that is the way it works?
