Would a new alternator help with steering wheel?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I just got the alternator replaced in my 09
Mercury Mariner. I noticed the steering wheel just
feels more, I can't describe it, I guess responsive. I
really enjoy it. Would a new alternator have that
effect? Apparently my old one was overcharging. I
also got the ignition switch replaced as well.

A lot of cars run on power assist now and is mostly electrical system. Overcharge and undercharge could mostly certainly cause it to malfunction. My car, when bought from a tow yard that was sitting up for about a year, wasn't behaving properly and i drove it around for a month or 2 and it suddenly kicked on and big smiles all around.
